Description
A noble order of protectors unified by their ability to tap into the power of the Force, the Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic. Headquartered on Coruscant, the Jedi trained, studied, and planned from the impressive Jedi Temple. They were governed by a High Council of 12 Jedi Masters who contemplated the very nature of the Force.
To become a Jedi requires the deepest commitment and most serious mind. As such, Jedi instruction is rigidly structured, and Jedi are not allowed to have strong emotional attachment to others. The Jedi dress in simple robes and carry specialized field gear for their missions. Their signature weapon, the lightsaber, is both elegant and deadly when in the hands of a trained master.

Relationships
Jedi Temple
The massive ziggurat-like temple on Coruscant was the base of operations of the Jedi Order. Thousands of Jedi Knights studied, trained and lived within the temple walls.
Jedi starfighter
Sleek, nimble one-man starships, the Jedi starfighters were the principal form of transport for the Jedi Knights on assignment.
Lightsaber
The lightsaber is the most recognized symbol of the Jedi Order. Younglings study with training lightsabers of limited power -- and thus limited danger -- before they are tasked to construct a weapon of their own. To hear a common Jedi teaching, "this weapon is your life." Padawans are expected to closely guard their weapon and never let it fall into untrained hands.
Sith
The sworn enemies of the Jedi are the Sith -- a cult-like order bent on domination through subservience to the Force's dark side. Founded by former Jedi, the Sith abandoned the precepts of knowledge and defense, and instead seek abandon and strength through the Force's hateful energies. Centuries ago, the Jedi destroyed the Sith Order. Little did the Jedi know the Sith would arise anew, to destroy their ranks.
Yoda
The eldest of the Jedi, and the Grand Master of the Jedi Council, Yoda served as mentor and guide to the entire Order. He trained all the Jedi younglings prior to their teaming up with Jedi Masters as Padawan learners.
