A Zygerrian slavemaster who led the slaving operation on Kadavo, Agruss delighted in his superiority over his pathetic charges. Agruss flaunted his power freely, punishing and executing slaves at a whim to ensure no one every questioned his authority. The overweight Zygerrian hovered aloft on a repulsorlift chair, exuding an air of decadence. Agruss particularly delighted in tormenting Obi-Wan Kenobi, the first ever Jedi to be interred at his grueling facility.
To ensure Obi-Wan Kenobi behaved while at the Kadavo facility, Keeper Agruss cruelly disciplined Kenobi's fellow prisoners knowing that the Jedi could absorb any punishment administered directly. To prevent any more needless deaths or suffering, Obi-Wan kept his head down, laboring under Agruss' cruel glare in seeming obedience.
Though Agruss exhibited zeal in lording over slaves, he was hardly the model Zygerrians. Most Zygerrians are more powerfully built and physically fit, while Agruss had let corruption shape him.
During Kenobi's time at the Kadavo slave camp, his only ally was Clone Captain Rex. During the liberation of the slaves, Kenobi would not dispense justice on an unarmed Agruss. Rex had no such reservations.
