Description
This Besalisk Jedi is all about getting results and, indeed, his battlefield record lists many key victories in the Clone Wars. He has an unshakable confidence in his methods, and he will brook no insubordination among his charges. In personal combat, he can be ferocious -- his giant arms carry two double-ended lightsabers, making him extremely dangerous in close quarters. Pong Krell's reputation as a successful general is well known but so is the fact that the casualty rates of the clone troopers under his command are the highest.

Relationships
Anakin Skywalker
At the height of the Umbara campaign, General Krell arrives to relieve Anakin Skywalker of his duty on the planet. Skywalker has been recalled to Coruscant by the Supreme Chancellor, placing Krell in command of the 501st Legion.
Clone
Captain Rex
Captain Rex and General Krell do not see eye-to-eye. Rex has become used to Anakin Skywalker's more personal command style, and Krell's steely focus on military objectives at all costs is unsettling to some of the troops of the 501st.
Umbara
Krell knows the importance of Umbara in the Clone Wars, and is keenly aware that other Jedi generals are depending on his success to ensure victory in the overall campaign.
