    Bossk

One of the most feared bounty hunters of the galaxy, Bossk used his natural Trandoshan hunting instincts to capture his prey. During the Clone Wars, the red-eyed reptilian partnered with Aurra Sing, Castas and young Boba Fett. Bossk didn't care much for vendettas or politics. He was in it to get paid. After a brief stint in a Republic prison, Bossk continued his partnership with Fett, becoming a bodyguard to the teen bounty hunter. Decades later, Bossk answered Darth Vader's call to capture the Millennium Falcon after the Battle of Hoth, an assignment that put him in direct competition with Boba.

History

Bossk standing with Castas, Aurra Sing, and Boba Fett

The Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk’s relationship with Boba Fett dated back to the very beginnings of Fett’s career, when Bossk joined Aurra Sing, Fett and Castas on a mission to avenge Jango Fett’s death. The mission ended with Bossk in a Republic prison on Coruscant, where he served as the young hunter’s muscle. Their relationship continued after their release, with jobs on planets such as Quarzite.

After the Empire’s rise, Bossk became one of the galaxy’s most-feared hunters, seeking fugitives in his ship, the Hound’s Tooth. One mission took him to Lothal, where he hired an urchin named Ezra Bridger to serve as a guide.

Years later, Bossk once again stood alongside Boba Fett. The two answered Darth Vader’s call for hunters to locate the Millennium Falcon and bring her passengers to Imperial justice.

  • Trandoshans understand vendettas, so Bossk was perfectly happy to sign on with Aurra Sing, Boba Fett and Castas to help Fett ambush the Jedi Mace Windu and avenge Jango Fett’s death on Geonosis.

  • After the Republic cruiser Endurance crashed on Vanqor, the hunters descended to see if Windu had died. While Aurra, Castas and Fett explored the wreck, Bossk remained behind with Slave I to guard the hostages Sing had taken. When a Jedi starfighter fled for space, the Trandoshan hunter jammed its transmissions.

  • The fighter escaped, and the hunters headed for Florrum, where Bossk once again guarded the hostages. He was captured when Ahsoka Tano and Admiral Kilian turned the tables on him, and then sentenced to prison with Fett on Coruscant.

  • During their confinement, Bossk acted as young Boba’s bodyguard, protecting him from their fellow inmates. When the two were released, they immediately returned to the bounty-hunting trade.

  • Bossk and several of Fett’s hired hunters were hanging out on Tatooine when the dark-side adept Asajj Ventress killed one of their associates. Ventress reluctantly agreed to work under Fett as the dead hunter’s replacement, signing on for a mission to Quarzite.

  • Bossk and the other hunters agreed to protect a mysterious chest carried aboard a subtram journeying beneath Quarzite’s surface. When Kage warriors attacked the train, Bossk and Fett fought back to back against them.

  • The hunters drove off many of the attackers, but the Kage were superb fighters – and Bossk wound up knocked from the train. His part in the Quarzite mission had come to an ignominious end.

  • Years later, Bossk traveled to Lothal on the trail of a Dug fugitive, only to discover a plot involving a corrupt Imperial Security Bureau agent. The Trandoshan brought the rogue ISB agent to justice with the help of an urchin named Ezra Bridger.

  • Bossk and Fett found themselves once again chasing the same quarry when they answered Darth Vader’s call for hunters to find the Millennium Falcon. When Admiral Piett offered his scornful opinion of bounty-hunting “scum,” Bossk growled an unmistakable warning.
