A single Anzati is scary enough, but imagine packs of them feeding upon a penal colony. In the four-part "Darkness" story arc of the
Star Wars ongoing series, issues #32-34 from Dark Horse, gangs of feral Anzati suddenly attack a Guardian outpost on the planet Kiffex. They are possessed by the mind of Volfe Karrko, a centuries-old dark Jedi Anzati. Into this fray enters Jedi antihero Quinlan Vos, who discovers that Aayla Secura has also fallen under the influence of Karrko. The comics story is penned by John Ostrander is filled with dynamic artwork by Jan Duursema, who captures the raw bestial rage of the Anzati in panel after panel of desperate attack. Adding to the atmosphere are the marvelously dark covers by Jon Foster, including one of Aayla that so turned George Lucas' head that he insisted she be made a character in Episode II.
