The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime was penned by R.A Salvatore, the
New York Times bestselling author known for his vivid battle scenes, well-developed characters and compelling adventure stories. Before he was a writer, he read and loved classic works such as J.R.R. Tolkien's
The Lord of the Rings, and he was a gamer whose roleplaying allowed him to explore many character archetypes. Salvatore is especially proud of his appeal to teenagers, both because he is interested in making kids into lifelong readers, and because he himself is the parent of children in that age group.
