The gangster Ziro the Hutt and the Separatist leader Count Dooku saw a way to advance both their interests. Asajj Ventress would kidnap Jabba the Hutt's son Rotta, hiding him on Teth. Dooku would frame the Jedi for Rotta's kidnapping, leading to an alliance between the Hutts and the Separatists that would give Dooku access to valuable secret Hutt trade routes. Ziro, meanwhile, would get control of Jabba's businesses.
-
But the plot threatened to unravel: Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano rescued Rotta, and then Padmé Amidala overheard Ziro talking with Dooku. Ziro's henchmen caught Padmé, and the Hutt and Dooku agreed she had heard too much to be allowed to live.
-
Fortunately for Padmé, she was able to get a message to C-3PO, who arrived at Ziro's Coruscant pleasure palace accompanied by clone troopers. Ziro was apprehended and forced to contact Jabba.
-
With Jabba's court watching, Ziro confessed to the plot and implicated Count Dooku. The Separatist plan had failed, and Ziro was headed for prison.
-
The pleasure-loving Ziro found prison intolerable, and stewed over how Padmé Amidala was to blame. He hired Aurra Sing to assassinate Padmé, but the plot failed, and Ahsoka tricked him into confessing his role in the affair, earning him an even longer prison sentence.
-
The Hutts, however, were uneasy about having Ziro in prison on Coruscant: What if he told the Republic of the Hutt Council's many dirty dealings? They decided it would be safer if Ziro were under lock and key on the Hutt homeworld of Nal Hutta, and hired Cad Bane to arrange his release.
-
Bane collected a considerable reward by taking several Senators hostage and trading their safety for Ziro's release, then delivering the rogue Hutt to the Hutt Council on Nal Hutta. Ziro found he had traded one prison for another.
-
On Nal Hutta, Ziro's former lover Sy Snootles found him and arranged to break him out of jail, overlooking the Hutt's history of playing fast and loose with her fluid sac.
-
Ziro and Snooty traded a swamp speeder to Ziro's gargantuan mother for the use of her starship and headed for Teth, where Ziro had hidden a diary with damaging information about the Hutts in his father's tomb.
-
Ziro retrieved the diary, but he had been betrayed: Jabba the Hutt had hired Snooty to find the diary and bring it to him. Snooty shot Ziro dead and headed for Tatooine with her prize.
