Teemto Pagalies' Podracer had the longest engines of the contestants in the Boonta Eve Classic. That may have made them the largest target for the Sand People camped out on the Canyon Dune Turn. A well-placed shot by one of the Tusken Raiders pierced the engine cowling, sending Teemto's entire Podracer crashing across the desert flats. His oddly-shaped cockpit went spinning wildly into the sands.
From the Expanded Universe
Teemto piloted a vessel sporting IPG-X1131 Longtail engines, from the Irdani Performance Group. His Podracer featured excellent traction, acceleration and repair attributes. Its top speed was rated at 775 kilometers per hour. Teemto's circular shaped cockpit was designed around a gyroscopic stabilizer ring that rotated at 230 rpm, providing stability to the otherwise un-aerodynamic Pod.
When Teemto entered into the Vinta Harvest Classic, he piloted a Podracer much like the one he did at the Boonta. It is unknown if it was a new vehicle, or if he had the old one rebuilt.
Behind the Scenes
Doug Chiang's sketch for Teemto's Podracer is labeled "Podracer Villain," though Teemto's racing style wasn't as aggressive as others.
