From the Movies
Two-time Boonta Eve Classic winner Boles Roor piloted a high-performance vehicle. His green Podracer featured a pared-down yet long cockpit towed by twin bulbous engines with four nacelles emerging from each combustion chamber.
From the Expanded Universe
The cynical will always attribute Boles Roor's two Boonta Classic victories to luck rather than skill and equipment. A critical look at his Bin Gassi Quadrijet 4Barrel 904E engines will back up that claim. Perhaps it's because Roor began focussing more energy into his singing career and less on his racing, but the green titan fell into disrepair. The welds holding the craft were poor, and the inner componentry was substandard. Roor wasn't a very talented mechanic, and instead relied on a crew of Ishi Tib technicians to maintain his vehicle. While the craft boasted top speeds of 790 kilometers per hour, it was hard to control and its dual combustion chambers tended to overheat.
Behind the Scenes
Boles Roor's Podracer was constructed full-size in England and transported to Tunisia for filming the starting grid sequence. For its moving shots, it was a computer-generated model.
