Another example of gleaming sleek Naboo craftsmanship, Padmé Amidala's starship is a small transport used by the Senator during her journey from Naboo to Tatooine, and finally to Geonosis just prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars. The rocket-shaped fin-winged craft features a spacious cockpit, long-range transmitter and the most updated navicomputer charts.

From the Expanded Universe

Unlike the expansive Royal Cruiser or Royal Starship, this slim yacht is a modest vessel by uncompromising Naboo standards. It is under 50 meters in length, and a scant eight meters at its widest point.

Although ships sheathed in chromium are traditionally reserved for members of Naboo's elected monarchy, Senator Padmé Amidala commands such importance in the world's affairs that she is afforded that recognition. This small royal yacht was specifically given to Padmé for her undercover travels while avoiding the increasing dangers of the Separatist movement.

The ship's narrow profile and sheltered sublight engines grants it considerable sensor stealth abilities. It is very fast, and although it is unarmed, it carries strong deflector shields. It even has a breakaway escape capsule for use in emergencies.

Behind the Scenes

The sleek ship is perhaps the one most demonstrative of its classic science fiction origins. Its shape harks back to the archetypal rocket ship designs seen in pulp sci-fi of decades past.
