The Braha'tok-class gunship, two of which were present at the historic Battle of Endor, was one of the several classes of starships produced at Dornea for the independent Dornean Navy. The gunship is a purely military vessel, designed exclusively for space combat: 90 meters long, it carries eight double turbolaser cannons and eight concussion missile launchers, with no ground troop accommodation and minimal hangar space. Its optimal crew total is 75, with fire control, command, and maneuvering all centralized in the hammer-like bow.

Just prior to the Battle of Endor, the Alliance High Command contacted multiple resistance groups to build up ship numbers for its assault against the second Death Star. One of the groups contacted was the Dornean Navy, which had successfully held back the Imperial Navy for several years in its own private war. The Dorneans sent two ships, both of their previously unseen Braha'tok-class, to avoid the suspicion of Imperial Intelligence (the ships were officially on shakedown cruises). These two ships were the Braha'tok, commanded by Kiles L'toth, and the Torktarak, commanded by Etahn A'baht. During the battle, both vessels acquitted themselves well: the Braha'tok held off the Eminence -- a Carrack-class cruiser more than triple its size while rescue craft picked up survivors from vessels destroyed by the explosion of the Liberty. As the Eminence finally closed with the Braha'tok, the Torktarak attacked it from behind, destroying the aging cruiser. The Torktarak remained to defend the Braha'tok during search-and-rescue operations.

After the battle, the relatively undamaged Torktarak returned to Dornea. Admiral Ackbar originally ordered that the far more damaged Braha'tok be scuttled, but the Dornean Navy protested, and it was shipped to Dornea to serve as a war museum. Kiles L'toth retired from the navy, and Etahn A'baht was promoted to General, and he would continue to serve the New Republic military forces.
