A heartless perversion of medical droid technology, these droids were employed by the Empire as torturers and interrogators. Small yet terrifying, the glossy black spherical droids hovered aloft on repulsorlift energy. Their sparsely decorated surfaces featured tools of pain, and such fearsome implements as hypodermic needles loaded with truth serums and other powerful drugs. Princess Leia Organa was subjected to a mind probe administered by one of these droids.
