Dofine, Lushros![]()
![]() From the Expanded UniverseLushros Dofine hails from the influential Dofine family of Neimoidia. The Dofines have long been revered for their prowess as conservative negotiators, saving the Trade Federation untold billions of credits by knowing just when to retreat with their innate sense of when a deal is about to sour. Unlike many Neimoidians, Lushros Dofine is very level-headed, even in the most dangerous situations. This coolness under fire has earned him the ire and fear of many of his colleagues, but has helped him to rise through the ranks of his society. He followed in the footsteps of his cousin, Daultay Dofine -- though he would try to claim he blazed his own path -- and trained to be a freighter commander.Lushros became captain of a Lucrehulk battleship which was present at the Battle of Geonosis. One of the last core ships to leave, Dofine carried General Grievous off the planet. Dofine impressed the General by holding off the prototype Republic V-19 clone fighters that swarmed the fleeing Separatist vessels. When the droid general took the Invisible Hand as his flagship, he insisted on Dofine becoming the ship's captain. Lushros has served as commander in numerous battles as the Clone Wars spread. His coolness allowed him to stand firm in the intimidating presence of General Grievous, and he is one of the few Neimoidians the droid general respects. He was present during the surprise attack on Coruscant, taking command of the fleet as Grievous ventured to the planet's surface to capture Chancellor Palpatine. During the resulting rescue mission, Dofine kept track of the Jedi intruders' progress, activating the ray shields that captured the heroes. Upon their escape, Lushros decided it was best if he left the bridge along with his more cowardly compatriots and fled to one of the escape pods just before Grievous remotely launched them all. Unfortunately, while several escape pods managed to be recovered by fleeing Separatist forces, Captain Dofine's pod was struck by a stray turbolaser blast and was instantly incinerated, along with all on board.
