Sleazebaggano, Elan![]()
![]() From the MoviesThe shadowy depths of Coruscant are full of many unsavory characters. A slimy narcotics peddler who frequents some of the entertainment district's nightclubs and gambling bars, Elan Sleazebaggano looked to make a quick credit by selling his illicit wares. After attempting to sell death sticks to a Jedi Knight, Sleazebaggano reportedly went home that night and completely rethought his life. From the Expanded UniverseYoung Elan once was on the path to a promising life as a medical student studying on Coruscant when he fell in with the wrong crowd. He did nothing to dispel the stereotype that Balosars are shifty cheats and scoundrels, and ended up stealing the university's medical supplies and selling them to local mobster, Hat Lo. Sleazebaggano parlayed his aborted post-secondary education into a career as a slythmonger, a hustler of pharmaceutical contraband in the entertainment districts of Coruscant. His bestseller? Death sticks -- treated Ixetal cilona extract that offers euphoria in exchange for a shortened life. His Balosar physiology gives him a heightened resistance to the more damaging side effects of the drug, but he too is an addict. It is only the quality of his product that gains him any popularity in the seedy Coruscant scene. In truth, the clubbers view him as little more than an oily, awkward, embarrassing parasite. Behind the ScenesElan Sleazebaggano's alien features -- antenepalps -- were computer-generated additions carefully matched to actor Matt Doran's head-movements. Literature that includes pictures of the actor without the CG antennae explains away their absence by noting that the flexible extremities could be concealed under hair. Keywords: Databank - Episode II Filed under: Vault, Character
