General Tickets Sales Start May 18 in Japan, May 17 in the U.S.

Worldwide members of Hyperspace, the Official Star Wars Fan Club, and members of Index, a leading provider of content for Japanese cell phones, can shop early for limited, Premium tickets for Star Wars Celebration Japan, starting Sunday, April 20 in the U.S. (Monday, April 21 in Japan) in a special presale.

This presale event will run from 8:00 PM April 20 through 8:00 PM April 29, Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), which is 12:00 PM April 21 through 12:00 PM April 30 in Tokyo. Hyperspace members will receive an email with a special link to where they can purchase tickets early when the site goes live.

Premium Tickets for Celebration Japan will be sold during the presale period. Premium Tickets are limited in number and entitle the bearers to special VIP privileges at the show. Standard tickets for Celebration Japan will go on sale when general ticket sales begin for all on May 17 (6:00 PM PDT) in the U.S., which is May 18 (10:00 AM) in Tokyo, at celebrationjapan.com.

Star Wars Celebration Japan will bring the best of the saga to the Makuhari-Messe Convention Center July 19-21, 2008. For three full days fans and pop culture enthusiasts will enjoy live Star Wars-themed entertainment including celebrity appearances and autograph sessions, stage shows, shopping for exclusive collectibles, and exhibits and displays that will be found only at Celebration Japan.

3-Day (Yoda) Premium Ticket (JPY22,000), sold in this special presale, comes with souvenir collectibles, special VIP privileges, and is valid for all 3 days of Celebration Japan. Each day of Celebration Japan will be unique, with celebrity guests and special events scheduled exclusively, often for one day only. Each 3-Day Premium ticket includes these special privileges:

  • Authentic "fur" cut from the original material used to make the Ewok costumes for the production of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, with certificate of authenticity, in a limited-edition presentation box. Strictly limited to an edition of 3,000.
  • Meet and Greet Exclusive Gathering with Star Wars Celebrity Guests.
  • Celebration Japan Exclusive photograph of an attending Star Wars actor or actress with free autograph.
  • Collection of four (4) Celebration Japan exclusive Star Wars archival photographs in a collectible portfolio.
  • Priority line for the Star Wars Celebrity Autograph Area, so fans can wait less and enjoy Celebration Japan more.
  • Priority line for the Star Wars Celebration Japan Store, which will feature event-exclusive, limited-edition merchandise for all.

  • Unique, collectible Premium Ticket with 3-D effects.
  • One (1) accompanying child receives Priority Line privileges and may attend party (child must have standard child ticket, either 3-Day Standard or 1-Day for the day the child attends).

1-Day (Vader) Premium Ticket (JPY7,500) is available for Saturday, Sunday or Monday, and comes with souvenir collectibles and special VIP privileges:

  • Collection of four (4) Celebration Japan exclusive Star Wars archival photographs in a collectible portfolio.
  • Priority line for Star Wars Celebrity Autograph Area and Celebration Japan Store.
  • Exclusive VIP lanyard.

  • One (1) accompanying child receives Priority Line privileges (child must have Standard ticket for the day the child attends).

Starting in May, Standard Tickets will be available for sale to the general public:

Standard 3-Day Adult Ticket (JPY10,000)
Standard 3-Day Child (6 to 12 years old) Ticket (Valid Saturday, Sunday and Monday, JPY5,000)
Standard 1-Day Adult Ticket (JPY4,000)
Standard 1-Day Child (6 to 12 years old) Ticket (JPY2,000)
Children under the age of 6 are admitted free to Celebration Japan.

Celebrations have attracted enthusiastic crowds from all over the world, including many parents introducing their children to the worldwide community of Star Wars.

Each day of Celebration Japan will be unique, with celebrity guests and special events scheduled exclusively, often for one day only. Even though both 3-Day and 1-Day tickets are available, fans will make the most of the show by attending all three days.
